    Anime - Yakitate!! Japan

Yakitate!! Japan (Google It) (Wikipedia) is an interesting anime about a lad and how he overcome difficulties to create his dream bread, called Ja-Pan, and to become the greatest baker. Very watchable in the beginning and middle, but getting tired and the end where most of the stories keep repeating...

"There's English bread, German bread, and French bread, but Japan's bread, Japan , does not exist. In that case, there's no choice to but to create it. This story is a serious, biographical ballad of a boy who possesses Solar Hands, Azuma Kazuma, who will create a Japanese bread made by and for the Japanese people, which can be presented to the world proudly." The sarcastic introduction to every episode describes Yakitate!! Japan to a "T". Characters Kazuma Azuma - The Boy with the Solar Hands Though not the brightest bulb in the lamp, Azuma Kazuma seems to have what it takes to make the best bread he can. . . With his extraordinarily warm hands and a promise to a friend from his past, Azuma pledges his life to creating a unique bread that can only be called Japan ! Can Azuma do it? Kuroyanagi Ryou - The Harsh Gourmet Baker of Pantasia Central Maybe it's the fact that he has to eat so many disappointing pieces of bread that's made his as hard as he is, or maybe it's the fact that he only truly enjoys quality bread. Either way, he is definately not an easy customer to please when it comes to breadmaking. You can tell if he's eaten a really good piece of bread, however, if he starts to freak out accordingly to what he just ate, thus making him a definate wildcard from time to time. Kawachi Kyousuke - The Determined Best Friend of Azuma Sometimes seeming crafty, jealous, and manipulative, Kyousuke means everything he says, and says everything he means. He fights along side, as well as against Azuma as he climbs the ranks of bakerdom, hoping to one day become a world-class baker, and perhaps more! Azusagawa Tsukino - The Delicate Co-Manager of South Pantasia This kind and caring soul wants only what's best for her shop in of South Pantasia and her employees. She'll do anything to help them succeed. Along with Manager Ken, she helps Azuma and Kyousuke through their trials and tribulations, as well as being serious moral support for both. She also seems to be particularly fond of Azuma, but at times, it seems like she's just as fond of Kyousuke. So she kind of plays the role of moral support and sex appeal for the anime. Suwabara Kai - The Ronin Baker of Truth Accepting momentary defeat at the combined efforts of Azuma and Kyousuke, this ronin with a rolling pin-katana trains night and day, pushing himself to the extremities of his limitations. He may lose a battle, but he absolutely refuses to lose a war to someone he thinks is inferior, or even equal to him. He finds Azuma to be his personal rival, though does indeed see Kyousuke as a threat as well. Much like Kyousuke, he thrives to become the world's greatest artisan in the field of baking. Kinoshita Kageto - The Senior from South Tokyo Branch Who? Oh, him! Yeah, Kageto is the eldest worker of South Tokyo Branch. His senority and hard work has earned him the respect and admiration of his inferiors and then some! . . .okay, not really. In all truth, Kageto seems to play very little part in any part of the series, regardless of the fact he's worked at South Tokyo Branch for longer than anyone. He really does deserve more respect than he gets, but tends to let his senority go straight to his head. Matsushiro Ken - The Burly But Odd Manager of South Tokyo Branch This tall, muscular fellow sports an afro and dark sunglasses, even a night. Though generally quite serious and sometimes just consise enough to get the point across, he has been known to wear fake masks to try(and generally fail) to boost moralé in humorous ways. Overall, he's an alright guy, and definately a deep well of useful advice for team South Pantasia. Some information for this page provided by. . . Kanmuri Shigeru - Veteran and Scientist of Baked Goods The newest member in Azuma's gang. Prior to traveling to France for the study aboard France program. He's willing to bet a huge amount of money on the success of Azuma's gang.

    Anime - Gokujou Seitokai

Gokujou Seitokai (極上生徒会) (Google It) (Wikipedia) is a good 26 episodes anime which definately worth our precious anime time. It's about a group of high school girls who have various of talent and run the school, instead of adults. Tha main character, has a puppet that can think and talk. Together, they aim for freedom in school, and life. Great drawing and story-line. Watch it to learn more.

Plot Summary: Rino Randou is a young girl with a head full of air and a talking puppet on her hand. She is accepted into the illustrious Gokujou all-girl's school, and is summarily, almost curiously, accepted as part of the even more illustrious Gokujou Student Council, who has more power and business ventures than most large businesses. Now a part of the student council, she befriends the talented members of the Gokujou Student Council, leaving one to wonder how a girl with seemingly no talents or redeeming qualities would get chosen for such a group.

    Anime - Here is Greenwood

Here is Greenwood (Google It) (Wikipedia) by is actually an OVA based on a comic series with the same name. It's actually a comedy anime with kids teasing each other. It's worth the 3 hours watching this.

One day, Kazuya Hasukawa arrives at his high school dorm. On his
first day there, his sempai introduces him to Shun, his roommate.
Shun happens to be a girl.  In an all-male dorm.  Shun explains
that she's there due to an administrative foul-up and hopes that
Kazuya doesn't mind.  Kazuya isn't exactly pleased about this...
he left home because his first love married his brother, and he
couldn't stand to live under the same roof as her...it just
wasn't proper.  Shun, for her part, had been raised as a boy all
her life and enlists Kazuya's help to keep the secret so she can
graduate.  This is the state of affairs at the dorm nicknamed
'Greenwood'...for a couple of days.  Kazuya finds out that he's
been tricked (Shun is a boy) and that Shun, his sempai and the
school's doctor (Kazuya's brother, incidentally) were all in on
      it.  Ahh...life in a school dormitory... :-)

    Anime - Sakigake!! Cromartie High

Sakigake!! Cromartie High (Google It) (Wikipedia) by Production I.G. (Google It) (Wikipedia) is a weird and nonsense but enjoyable short humorous anime.

The most atrocious gag Manga serialized in the weekly Shounen Magazine, "Sakigake!! Cromartie High" is now being made into an Anime!
Set at Cromartie High where a group of delinquent students attend, some guys who are dangerous in a certain way are on a riot! The serious and honest Kamiyama, the King of Idiots Hayashida, the sole comedian Maeda, the bad robot student Mecha Zawa, Takenouchi who's great at fighting but extraordinarily weak with vehicles, Hokuto who governs and rules all the Japanese highschools along with the mysterious middle aged man Freddie... Self-conceit! Can these guys be stopped?!

    Movie - Superman Returns

Me watched Superman Returns (Google It) (Wikipedia) with my dear dear... This movie is so-so in my opinion, Smallville TV series is much more interesting and exciting than this. But Superman Returns does have great visual effect but boring love scenes... (Spoiler: We all knew superman will be very weak if kryptonite is near him, but in this movie, he can move a island of kryptonite...)

“Even though you've been raised as a human being you're not one of them.
They can be a great people, Kal-El. They wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way.
For this reason above all – their capacity for good – I have sent them you... my only son.” – Jor-El

Superman – born on a planet which has long since died – has been raised by adoptive parents on the Kent farm in Kansas. The young boy Kal-El is renamed Clark Kent, and though he has grown up among humans, he is not one of them. Under Earth’s yellow sun, he can do things humans can only dream of, but to co-exist with them he must live a dual life as mild, unassuming Clark Kent, secretly transforming into the Man of Steel when the world cries out for him.

But now, the world’s crises have gone unheeded for five long years since Superman’s mysterious disappearance. Without him, crime has risen in the city of Metropolis and beyond; that’s not even counting the future destructive acts of Lex Luthor, who has been sprung from prison with the specific intent of using Superman’s technological secrets for his own personal gain and glory.

Lois Lane, star reporter for the Daily Planet and the love of Superman’s life, has moved on since Superman left without a word. She has even won a Pulitzer Prize for her essay, “Why the World Doesn’t Need Superman.” Lois has other issues to contend with – she is now engaged to the editor’s nephew and has a young son to look after.

But for Superman, the long search for his place in the universe ends back at the Kent farm, among the only family he has ever known. His destiny lies in Metropolis, where one look in Lois’s eyes tells him that this place, among the flawed but ultimately good people of Earth, is his true home.

And with Lex’s plan coming to fruition mere hours after his return, the world will never need Superman more than it does now.

Warner Bros. Pictures presents Superman Returns, a soaring new chapter in the saga of one of the world’s most beloved Super Heroes, directed by Bryan Singer (X2: X-Men United, X-Men, The Usual Suspects). An extraordinary new vision that showcases groundbreaking visual effects technology, Superman Returns tells an intimate story of one man’s unattainable love and struggle to belong against a backdrop of vast scope and scale, set in a modern-day Metropolis.

Superman Returns stars newcomer Brandon Routh, Kate Bosworth (Beyond the Sea, Blue Crush), James Marsden (X2: X-Men United, The Notebook), Frank Langella (HBO’s Unscripted), Academy Award-winner Eva Marie Saint (North By Northwest), Parker Posey (Best in Show), Kal Penn (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle), Sam Huntington (Detroit Rock City), and Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey (Beyond the Sea, American Beauty, The Usual Suspects).

Movie - Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Me watched Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (Google It) (Wikipedia) with one of my favourite group of friends. We called ourself The Konohainz. Me as one who never watched the 1st episode of the supposely trilogy, still find it very interesting, featuring comical acting from the main character, and superb action-packed story, but very ugly monster protagonis...

Captain Jack Sparrow is caught up in another tangled web of supernatural intrigue. Although the curse of the Black Pearl has been lifted, an even more terrifying threat looms over its captain and scurvy crew: it turns out that Jack owes a blood debt to the legendary Davy Jones, Ruler of the Ocean Depths, who captains the ghostly Flying Dutchman, which no other ship can match in speed and stealth. Unless the ever-crafty Jack figures a cunning way out of this Faustian pact, he will be cursed to an afterlife of eternal servitude and damnation in the service of Jones. This startling development interrupts the wedding plans of Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, who once again find themselves thrust into Jack's misadventures, leading to escalating confrontations with sea monsters, very unfriendly islanders, flamboyant soothsayer Tia Dalma and even the mysterious appearance of Will's long-lost father, Bootstrap Bill. Meanwhile, ruthless pirate hunter Lord Cutler Beckett of the East India Trading Company sets his sights on retrieving the fabled "Dead Man's Chest." According to legend, whoever possesses the Dead Man's Chest gains control of Davy Jones, and Beckett intends to use this awesome power to destroy every last Pirate of the Caribbean once and for all. For times are changing on the high seas, with businessmen and bureaucrats becoming the true pirates--and freewheeling, fun-loving buccaneers like Jack and his crew threatened with extinction.

Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora : looking up at the half-moon (Google It) (Wikipedia) by Group TAC (Google It) (Wikipedia) is an enjoyable must watch anime for any romantic anime lover. Totally new stuff here.

    Anime - W-Wish

W-Wish (Google It) (Wikipedia) by Princess Soft (Google It) is a great time waster anime. Each episodes runs for only 10 minutes, the plot messed up, nothing much really happened until the last 3 episodes...

The main character, Junna has a twin sister Senna. He is an ordinal student of an elite school. However, in the past, a traffic accident deprived him of his parents and his memory. Anime - Air (TV)

AIR (TV) (Google It) (Wikipedia) by Kyoto Animation (Google It) (Wikipedia) is an anime based on a video game with the same name. This however, is our average anime with average plot and storyline.

"Once upon a time, there was a princess with wings. She lived alone, and had no friends."

In a small town, bounded by the sea and sky, there is a story handed down from ages past. It was a sad love story of a princess with wings and a young man who guarded her.

The princess was confined for her supposed powers, and she had never seen the outside world. She heard that she had a mother far away, but she could not go in search of her. One day, a man appeared. He talked about the world outside and amused her. Gradually, they fell in love. However, if she were to love a man, a curse would befall her.

Kamio Misuzu identifies herself with the princess. As she often falls ill, she doesn't go to school often and she is always alone. She hasn't even been out of the town. However, she thinks she might have an encounter like the princess' in the future. One day, a young man came before her. His name is Kunisaki Yukito. He is traveling around showing a puppet play. He has a dispensation from his late mother, to save a girl in the air.

A cursed princess and her guard. A girl who identifies herself with the princess and a young man who travels to save a girl in the air. Two stories of the past and the present intersects each other, and their feelings transcend the boundaries of time. What endings will be waiting for them?

    Anime - Haibane Renmei

Haibane Renmei (Google It) (Wikipedia) from Radix (Google It) is one of the best anime, featuring great animation, stick-to-the-mind soundtrack music and superb mystifying story-line. Me enjoyed every minutes of it.

Based on a doujinshi manga by Yoshitoshi ABe, Haibane Renmei ("Charcoal Feather Federation") follows the story of a girl named Rakka, beginning with her dream of falling through the sky and her subsequent birth out of a large cocoon. Rakka is a Haibane; she looks like a normal girl except for a halo and a pair of vestigial ash-grey wings. No one truly knows what the Haibane are. When they are born, they remember nothing of their previous life, and even their names come from the dream they had while in the cocoon ('Rakka,' for example, means 'falling' or 'descent').

Rakka lives in the Haibane Nest called Old Home, in the town of Guri. Guri is surrounded by a massive wall - no one is allowed to touch it or pass through its gates except traders from the outside known as the Touga. A mysterious organization known as the Haibane Renmei oversees and protects the Haibane and orchestrates their dealings with the townspeople. Haibane have specific rules which govern their lives:

    - Haibane must find some sort of work. This is their way of giving back to the town, which pays for the heating and electricity costs at Old Home.

    - Haibane are not allowed to use anything new. All their possessions, including clothes, must be used items which the townspeople no longer want.

    - Haibane do not use money. All their transactions are marked down in their handbook, and presumably people are reimbursed by the Haibane Renmei at a later date.

    Rakka ponders her halo 'support.'

The thirteen episodes of the series follow Rakka as she learns more and more about her surroundings, her fellow Haibane, and ultimately about herself. It is a dramatic, gripping show which will sometimes make you smile, and sometimes tear at your heart. It deals with serious issues of loss, grief, and self which keep you riveted and draw you close to the characters.

    Anime - Angel Links

The Oracion galaxies are the richest mineral resource in the universe, according to any space pirate you'll run across. Thanks to modern robotics, freight ships moving through these galaxies are unmanned, and thus are easy prey for the pirates. The police have given up, forcing freight companies to hire outside help. One agency, the Private Guard Company, has a ship under it's command that's unique; piloted by 16-year old Li May Fong, the Angel Links roams the galaxy, exterminating pirates for free.

    Anime - Rozen Maiden

Rozen Maiden (1st season link) (2nd season link) (Google It) (Wikipedia) by PEACH-PIT (Google It) (Wikipedia) is a normal so-so 2 seasons 12 episodes anime. But it's still worth my time.

Rozen Maiden (ローゼンメイデン (薔薇乙女), Rozen Maiden) is a manga by the group PEACH-PIT, with an anime series of the same name. It deals obliquely with the pressures placed on children in Japan by telling the story of a student, Jun Sakurada, who cracked under the strain. The series chronicles Jun's reluctant mental recovery through experiences with the Rozen Maiden, a series of enchanted dolls with a mysterious purpose.

Movie - The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (Google It) (Wikipedia) is the sequel to 2 earlier movies. But this time, instead of powerful super high horsepower biggest engine with the best NOS competition, our hero need to learn how to burn his car's tyre rubber in effective way, and this they called as drifting. There some part of the movie is taken directly from another race car drifting movie - Initial D: The Movie (Google It) (Wikipedia). It's a must-see.

Sean Boswell, who has always been an outsider. A loner at school, his only connection to the indifferent world around him is through illegal street racing -- which has made him particularly unpopular with the local authorities. To avoid jail time, Sean is sent out of the country to live with his uncle in the military, in a cramped apartment in a low-rent section of Tokyo. In the land that gave birth to the majority of modified racers on the road, the simple street race has been replaced by the ultimate pedal-to-the-metal, gravity-defying automotive challenge ... drift racing, a deadly combination of brutal speed on heart stopping courses of hairpin turns and switchbacks. For his first unsuccessful foray in drift racing, Shean unknowingly takes on D.K., the "Drift King," with ties to the Yakuza, the Japanese crime machine. The only way he can pay off the debt of his loss is to venture into the deadly realm of the Tokyo underworld, where the stakes are life and death.

    Anime - Ping Pong Club

Ping Pong Club (Google It) from Kitty Films (Google It) (Wikipedia) is an anime filled with adult comedy element that will itch your stomach non-stop.

There are six members of the boy's ping pong club. Two are relatively normal; however, the other four consist of an aspiring sexual deviant, two perverts, and a guy with lethal B.O. Add in a cantakerous girl as a manager, and you have the entire crew.

This series pushes the boundaries of good taste beyond anything the western world has experienced, yet somehow manages to remain vaguely charming. The antics of the ping pong club includes one member's trademark "Protruding Pecker Serve," molesting cross-dressing members, and the infamous "Turtle Sequence," which is much too horrifying to describe. Full frontal nudity and tasteless jokes abound.

    Movie - The DaVinci Code

Me was so lucky, to be able to watch this great movie with one of my favourite friend, me refer her as Rean. The DaVinci Code (Google It) (Wikipedia) is a movie based on one of Dan Brown's (Google It) (Wikipedia) book with the same title. Romantic scene in the book is removed from the movie and there's slight differences in story plot. It even more enjoyable if u have read the book.

Adapted from Dan Brown's bestseller book, the story tells the investigation started by symbologist Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) and a good looking cryptologist, Sophie Neveu (Audrey Tautou), around the murder of a Museum Louvre's curator. In fact, the unfortunate murdered man was Sophie's grandfather, and the corpse was founded with a series of symbols and codes, like a pentagram and a Fibonacci number sequence. But police detective Fache (Jean Reno) will begin to chase Langdon, who escapes after receive a warning about the captain's real intentions. Sophie has with her a kind of key with dots and number 24 engraved on it, which opens to her and Langdon a big complex investigation, that involves a supposedly heretic theory: JesusChristh and Mary Magdalene were, in fact, a couple which give rise a daughter, named Sara. A millenarian sect called The Priory of Sion, has kept for centuries the secret of that matter. A masochist and kind of psychopath albino monk, Sibilas (Paul Bettany), an Opus Dei member, will chase Langdon and Shophie as well, in order to impede that they solve the mystery of Christ and Mary Magdalene, and also the real meaning and location of the Holy Grial. A passionate British researcher (Sir Ian McKellen), will help Langdon in his quest, revealing them several symbolisms at Da Vinci's master work The Last Supper, traveling to mythical places in the UK, like The Church Temple, where is believed that a group of Templars Knights are buried, and Sir Isaac Newton's tomb at Westminster Abbey, where are located some of the main keys to solve the Holy Grial's mystery.

    Anime - Ocha-Ken

Ocha-Ken (Google It) is a very very cute little puppy and pussy anime that teaches us one little lesson on each of it's 4 minutes episode. And there's an Ocha-Ken game on Nintendo DS!

Ocha-Ken is a really short anime about tea. It's about a little green puppy with tea-leaf ears named Ryoku whose nose always tells him when there's tea made JUST right to be had. He has a lot of different-colored dog friends who also seem to love tea and coffee. This first episode, "Have you been making tea lately?" is about how hard it is to make the perfect tea, not too hot, cold, thin, thick, but just right. When Ryoku smells that perfect tea, he calls all his friends and they go over to Hana, the purple dog's place, where they see she's being a great hostess. Tea is the best, isn't it? When you're drinking it, maybe you, too, can see the cute little tea puppy! "Have you been tired at the end of the day lately?" the narrator asks. "Let's relax with Ocha-Ken!"

Okay, so it's hard to talk much about a 2-minute show about tea and little dogs, but they're REALLY CUTE! The official page seems to have lots of info for different Ocha-Ken things, so they must be so popular tea-mascot things that they just decided to make an anime about. I'd love one of the plushies that they have! :D

    Anime - Black Cat

Black Cat (Google It) (Wikipedia) from Gonzo Digimation (Google It) (Wikipedia) is superb anime with really great storyline and animation! Worth the watch!

He runs after his ex-buddy, Creed, with Sven who has grasper eyes, Rins who is good at disguise, and bio-weapon Eve.

    Anime - Amazing Nurse Nanako
